Founded by devotees of Lord Murugan and grown by the faith of its community, Thiru Murugan Temple is a living space for prayer, worship, and cultural continuity. From the very first Kaavadi for Lord Muruga in Botswana — carried in 2010 — to today's annual Chitirai Paruvam Kavadi Thiruvizha, our doors are open to all who seek the divine.
The trust also nurtures Tamil language, music, dance, and youth seva — weaving faith into everyday life across our community.

Each year, the Chitirai Paruvam Kavadi Thiruvizha gathers our community in devotion to Lord Murugan.
CPKT is the most important festival on our calendar, held in partnership with the Botswana Hindu Society. From Kodiyetram on 24 April to the Kavady procession on 3 May, devotees gather to offer kavadi, paal kudam, and milk pots to Lord Murugan. Velum, Mayilum, Sevalum Thunai!
